How to Hang a Zebra Skin Rug

A zebra-skin rug is an exotic accent piece for any room in your home. If used as a floor covering, then your zebra hide may get dirty and stained. Instead, display the rug by hanging it on the wall. Mounting the mask on the wall is really the best method to preserve it and keep it clean.

Mounting a Zebra Rug

Mount the zebra-skin rug between two pieces of glass to avoid damaging the delicate mask. If you press the mask closely between the fence, it wo not slide around or drop down; you shouldn’t need adhesives to maintain the rug set up. When you’ve attached the rug between glass, set the enclosure at a photo frame. A professional framing business might also be able to do this for you. You can hang the frame on the wall. Use a wall anchor, including a winged or screw anchor, for plaster or drywall. Polyethylene expansion anchors work for brick walls. Tempered steel grips, which screw in the wall, are another option. These grips grasp the edges of the rug and hold it in place without puncturing the mask. Don’t hang the zebra rug with nails or staples; doing so will damage the mask.
